What Causes Dry Eyes?
Dry eye disease has two causes: poor quality tears or insufficient tear volume. Our eyes rely on tears to keep them lubricated. If we aren’t able to produce enough tears, or the tears we produce don’t contain enough oil or mucin, our eyes become dry and irritated.
